Tutorial: Image word match
Image word match: All you need are 6 images and 6 corresponding words to create a drag and drop activity. Simply add your words to the form and place your images in the drag_and_type_6 folder, and your drag and drop resource is ready to go. View example l Download
Click the download link connected to the e-template you wish to download. A dialog box then appears. Click on the save button
The file will need to be unzipped. One way to do this is to right click the mouse button on the folder then Open with and then Compressed (zipped) Folders.
Locate the unzipped folder and double click on the teach_start file.
Create your resource
STEP 1: Create your list of 6 words and add them to the teach_start form
This form allows you to add various details: the title and any additional information. If nothing springs to mind simple write 'Drag and drop activity'. Once you have done this click on the next button
You can now add your labels. Click save word list when you are finished. Your words have now been saved.
If you want to make any changes to your resource then click on the Back button (make sure you re-save your new changes by once again clicking on the save word list button) otherwise click on Quit.

STEP 2: Locate 6 images which corresponds to your 6 words. Possible sources include images from a digital camera or the internet. (The file format must be jpg.) Below is an en example of searching for an image using Google.
STEP 3: Change the file names of your images/save the image, giving each image a new
name that corresponds to its position in the list of words. If for
example your first word is carrot, your first image might be a picture
of a carrot. In this example the image of a carrot would be renamed and
become item_1.
STEP 4: Replace the existing images in the image_word folder with your new images. The program rescales your images to fit but it is good practice to use images that are 320 by 300 pixels.
Images come in different formats, On the internet and from digital cameras Jpg is the most common however other formats exist such as gif and png. The e-template will only display jpg files and the extension must be jpg (not jpeg)
When you overwrite one image with another image you will be asked to confirm this. Click yes. If you haven't seen this dialog box you may be using the wrong type of image files.
View your resource
Your resource is now ready to be used by your students. The file of interest to your students is learn_start. Double click this file.
The start screen displays three buttons with times on. Click on one of these to continue. Drag and drop the images to match them to their corresponding label.
Click Check answers to find out how you did.
The e-template you downloaded is made up of numerous files. Once you have created your resource zip the e-template and upload to your VLE in the usual way. Link to/choose the learn_start file.
*** You can but DO NOT NEED to upload the following files: teach_start, read_me and the txt folder.
