At Barking & Dagenham College we want you to study hard and achieve success in your chosen course. At college you study in different ways according to your course and subject area. Reading and writing, practical work, formal lessons and extended projects are just some of the ways in which college students learn.

Unlike school, college can involve a lot of independent study which the student conducts outside structured lessons. You will receive support in your studies from your subject tutors. Full time students will also be allocated a personal tutor who will monitor your progress through the course. Your personal tutor will regularly set you targets to aid your study and help you reach your goals

The main thing to remember is that Barking & Dagenham College wants you to succeed, and we will do all we can to help you. This is your chance to study the subject area you are really interested in.
